I've always been fascinated by the creative impulse, where it comes from, what drives it, and those magnificent, inspirational times when it pulls you along behind it, hanging on for dear life as a new creative project is born. I've been lucky enough to experience the mysterious muse in action numerous times throughout my creative career. It has created a couple of music-driven screenplays, some concept albums, and is undoubtedly present in my prose writings, too. I think that some of my work seeks to unravel the mystery - but I know it never truly will . . .

My first novel, CYBERSOUL,  started life as an allegorical stage musical inspired by the US black civil right movement and soul music of the 1960s. The songs are still present in the writing, but the book has developed far beyond its initial vision. I think with everything happening in the world, CYBERSOUL is more relevant today than when it was originally written.

Released in June 2022 is THE UNDERWATER BIRDS - my second novel. Running away to join the circus is a choice, but for some it was a last chance for redemption and survival. Travel along with these freaks of nature and outcasts on the edges of society as they embark on journeys that ping-pong a harsh American era from the 30’s to the 60’s.

Released in 2023 A WRITER'S PREROGATIVE - and is all about REVENGE and what lengths someone would go to get retribution for perceived betrayal and hurts. Famous writer, Carson Crowe, has just completed his final novel, killed himself, and then sets out to get revenge on friends and family - yes, even from beyond the grave! My latest release is another collection of short stories - small cruelties. Exploring a gamut of themes and emotions the stories come together to chronicle the human experience and remind us of the uncertainty, fragility, joys and tribulations that make up our lives.
